Last updated: October 24, 2026. This policy covers Poke Bonk Online, the independent fan reference at poke-bonk.online. It does not cover the official PokéBonk game or its account system.
Browsing and local saves
Reading pages and using calculators does not require an account here. We do not ask for your name, game username, game password or game save. Plans, checklist progress and preferences can be saved in this website’s localStorage in your browser. They are not automatically synchronized between devices.
Clearing this site’s browser data removes those local records. A planning URL can contain the choices encoded in its fragment; anyone you send that URL to can read those choices. A URL fragment is handled by the browser and is not sent as part of an ordinary HTTP page request.
Sharing, voting and ratings
When you choose a community action, your browser sends the relevant structured build or vote, a random device identifier and a Turnstile verification token to our API. The device identifier is generated for this site and stored in localStorage. It is not a game-account identifier and does not establish who a person is.
Our community database stores structured builds, game version/build information, votes, timestamps, aggregate statistics and a keyed one-way hash of the device identifier. Separate hash purposes are used for different kinds of record. This allows duplicate-vote checks and sample aggregation without saving the original device identifier in those database rows.
A shared build and its short URL are public. Anyone with that URL may view it, and eligible builds may appear in public lists or statistics. Names are generated from the structured choices; the community service does not accept comments or custom free-text build names. Votes are aggregated and sample thresholds apply before rating or tier results are displayed.
Network protection and Turnstile
Our Worker reads the request’s IP address in memory, converts it to a keyed hash and uses that value for rate limiting. It does not write the raw IP address into the community database or application logs. The current implementation also does not persist IP hashes in build or vote rows.
Cloudflare hosts the site and provides network and abuse protection. As the network provider, it receives connection information such as IP addresses. Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical browser and connection signals to distinguish legitimate requests from automated abuse. Its processing is described in the Turnstile Privacy Addendum and Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
We validate the Turnstile token on the server before accepting a protected action. The token is not stored in our community database. A failed or expired check may require a fresh challenge. Our statement about database IP storage does not mean that Cloudflare never processes an IP address when delivering the service.
Purpose, retention and your choices
We use these records to deliver requested sharing and voting features, prevent repeated submissions and abuse, and produce aggregate results for a stated game version. Statistics describe activity on this site, not a complete picture of the game’s players. We do not sell these community records.
There is currently no automatic expiry or self-service deletion endpoint for public builds and vote records. They remain until removed through site maintenance or a reviewed request. Clearing localStorage removes your local plans and device identifier, but does not delete a build or vote already stored by the community service. Without the previous identifier, we may be unable to associate an anonymous record with your browser.
To ask about a public record, use the contact page and include its URL where possible. Do not send your password. We will explain what can be identified or removed rather than promising that an anonymous record can always be traced to a person.
Advertising, analytics and other sites
The current site has no advertising and no enabled third-party marketing analytics. Operational network services still process requests as described above. If this changes, the policy and relevant interface will be updated. Links to the official game, source repositories and other websites are governed by those sites’ own policies.
