PokéBonk Builds

These PokéBonk builds are practical teaching plans for the 3 starting partners. Each example uses listed kit moves, modest item and vitamin targets, and no purchased Lab upgrades. Open a card to inspect the exact structured plan, then adapt it to your actual offers. The examples are legal under the extracted client rules; they are not guaranteed drops, simulated clear times or claims that we personally tested every combination.

Starting-form teaching plans: kit moves at their initial level, modest item and vitamin targets, and no purchased Lab upgrades. These are legal structured examples, not guaranteed in-run offers or measured winning builds.

Bulbasaur: sustain and Grass pressure

Moves: Vine Whip · Razor Leaf · Sleep Powder

Items: Miracle Seed · Leftovers

Vitamins: Protein · Iron

Vine Whip and Razor Leaf share physical investment. Sleep Powder is the control slot; replace it only when the replacement solves a clear problem.

Charmander: focused Fire damage

Moves: Ember · Fire Spin · Flamethrower

Items: Charcoal · Leftovers

Vitamins: Calcium · Iron

Ember, Fire Spin and Flamethrower share Fire and special investment. Recovery is a separate need; never plan around deliberately staying injured.

Squirtle: Water with a defensive buffer

Moves: Water Gun · Bubble · Rapid Spin

Items: Mystic Water · Leftovers

Vitamins: Calcium · Iron

Water Gun and Bubble share special investment. Rapid Spin is a physical utility exception, so do not assume Calcium improves every attack.

A useful loadout explains what it does when the preferred choice never appears. Start with an attack direction, identify the problem that could end the run, and keep a fallback available. The build editor is where you can change the examples without losing track of the partner, move slots or saved game version.

Bulbasaur: turn sustained contact into recovery

The Bulbasaur example selects Vine Whip, Razor Leaf and Sleep Powder. The attacking moves share a physical direction, while Sleep Powder reserves a slot for control. This makes the plan easier to understand than spreading early investment across every tempting attack class. Its recovery identity comes from Synthesis, so the important question is whether your attacks keep reaching enemies while you maintain a safe route. Healing should support movement, not persuade you to stand still inside a crowd.

The item targets are Miracle Seed and Leftovers; the vitamin targets are Protein and Iron. Their roles are focused offense, recovery and mitigation. These are priorities to consider when offered, not a required shopping script. If damage cannot keep a lane open, strengthen the attacks that already work before adding more recovery. If an unfamiliar attack pattern is the problem, changing the pattern can be more useful than another stat increase.

Charmander: focus the damage, fund the safety

Charmander's example uses Ember, Fire Spin and Flamethrower. Their shared Fire and special identity gives your offensive decisions a clear direction. Charcoal and Calcium fit that direction, while the recovery item and armor vitamin provide a separate safety budget. This separation matters: a coherent offensive package does not automatically cover escape routes, incoming projectiles or the gradual accumulation of small mistakes.

Sea of Flames includes an injured-state benefit, but deliberately remaining injured is not the learning goal. Treat the trigger as help during a bad moment and recover when possible. If a run feels strong until a crowded objective, consider whether you need better control or earlier repositioning rather than simply more Fire damage. The starter decision guide explains when this direct offensive style is worth choosing over the more forgiving defensive identities of the other opening partners.

Squirtle: keep the mixed slot honest

The Squirtle example takes Water Gun, Bubble and Rapid Spin. Water Gun and Bubble point toward special investment; Rapid Spin is a physical exception that should earn its place through its actual pattern and utility. Mystic Water supports the Water direction, while Calcium supports special damage. Neither label means every move receives the same benefit. Read what the upgraded stat affects before assuming a general-looking increase improves the entire kit.

Torrent Shell starts with a defensive identity, but a buffer can hide a damage problem for a while. If enemies keep accumulating, buying only more defense may delay the same eventual failure. Keep enough offensive growth to maintain space, then use the protection to recover from occasional mistakes. Once you understand the mixed slot, you can test another listed attack or an available alternative. Compare the new pattern in a similar situation rather than declaring the larger tooltip number an automatic upgrade.

The extracted rules allow 3 base move slots and 3 base vitamin slots. The examples stay inside those limits and use no Lab slot purchases. Their move levels and vitamin stacks describe an initial, readable plan instead of a fully stacked endgame inventory. You can increase them in the editor as a planning exercise, but a valid payload does not prove that the game will offer every selected entry in a particular run.

Availability depends on the game's unlocks, offers and current state. A completed sample may also rely on choices that arrived in an unusually convenient order. When using somebody else's plan, first identify its minimum functioning core. Then identify which parts are bonuses and which parts are prerequisites. The editorial partner ratings can help you choose a starting identity, but the reliability of your acquisition path matters just as much as the final inventory you hope to assemble.

Choose upgrades by the bottleneck they solve

Before taking an upgrade, state the reason in plain language. “My attacks do not reach the crowd while I move” points toward coverage or a different attack pattern. “I survive the burst but never recover” points toward healing or regeneration. “I cannot get out after stopping to collect” points toward routing, movement or control. An upgrade that solves a present failure is often more useful than a fashionable ingredient for a combination that remains several uncertain offers away.

Compare held item effects and vitamin categories before mixing them indiscriminately. Physical, special, type-specific and general modifiers have different scopes, and the runtime uses grouping rules rather than a universal multiply-every-label formula. Keep a small number of purposeful investments. You can still accept an unexpected useful item, but know which part of the plan it replaces or strengthens instead of collecting unrelated bonuses and hoping they become a coherent build.

Plan a fusion without sacrificing the opening

A fusion is a conditional route through a run, not a reason to ignore the attacks available now. Check the recipe directory for the actual ingredients and readiness conditions before reserving slots. If an ingredient does little for your current survival, decide how long you can afford to carry it. A plan that only functions after the final ingredient appears needs a much stronger fallback than a plan whose ingredients already help along the way.

The same principle applies to type investment. Consult the runtime type reference rather than importing the familiar main-series multipliers into a damage estimate. Same-type benefits can make a focused kit sensible, while an off-type utility move can still deserve its place. Assess both the bonus you gain and the job you give up. Coverage, control and safe uptime can matter more than perfect visual uniformity among the move icons.

Match the plan to the run objective

Different objectives change which weakness is acceptable. A short learning attempt can prioritize an immediately useful kit. A longer survival goal puts more emphasis on maintaining recovery and usable space as pressure grows. A challenge run may intentionally trade comfort for a required condition. Read the mode comparison before assuming that a loadout recommended for one objective has been established for every other destination and difficulty.

Keep the comparison fair when evaluating your changes. Record the partner, mode, broad upgrade budget and the point at which the previous plan failed. Change a meaningful part of the plan, then look for that specific failure again. The pause-screen damage report can help you understand what contributed during the run, but it is still a report of that situation. It does not isolate every cause or establish universal damage rankings across different enemy counts, positioning and upgrade rolls.

Read shared builds as evidence with limits

The community panel lists eligible visitor submissions separately from these editorial examples. A build needs 10 ratings before appearing, and ordering uses a conservative rating score rather than a claimed win rate. An empty panel does not mean a best build is being hidden; there may simply be no qualifying sample yet. Ratings tell you that visitors found something useful, not that the inventory was reproduced under controlled conditions.

Every example records v0.8.34 and build mvlr7rzv. Preserving those identifiers helps prevent an older plan from being silently presented as current after a balance change. The factual limits come from the versioned official client; the priorities here are editorial recommendations. Use a shared plan as a hypothesis, read its assumptions, and adapt it to the available run. That is more reliable than copying a complete inventory without understanding what makes its opening work.

Frequently asked questions

Are these guaranteed offers or complete winning recipes?

No. They are valid structured starter plans with explained roles. Actual offers and unlocks determine what you can obtain. Keep the core attack direction, then choose available upgrades that address the immediate problem rather than waiting indefinitely for an exact item.

Why are the examples not fully stacked?

A small starting plan makes the investment logic visible and avoids implying that a maximum inventory is easy to assemble. Increase levels or stacks in the editor to explore a later target, while preserving a realistic fallback for the early run.
