PokéBonk Maps and Regions

PokéBonk maps are not all equivalent to playable seasonal destinations. The snapshot contains 6 region records, while the current season lists 4 regions. Use the explorer below to separate that active-season list from other client records and the scheduled Tower event.

The unlock text, types and encounter names come from the official game client. A stored region description is evidence that the data exists, not proof that your account can enter it. The live map selector and event entry remain the final access checks.

Read a region card before choosing a route

Each region record describes its name, types and an unlock condition. Some also contain grouped guardian encounters and a sanctuary. The explorer labels the season list explicitly because it would be misleading to present every record as an available destination. A locked card in the game may reflect your progression, the current mode or a service-side condition that a static database cannot see.

Start with the objective of your next run, then choose a region you can actually enter. If you are learning the game, repeating a familiar environment can make it easier to notice a change in your build. If you are working toward an unlock, read the challenge’s exact condition rather than choosing a map only because its theme seems related. Our League unlock tracker keeps those objectives separate from the region descriptions.

Viridian Forest is the beginning of the route

The source labels Viridian Forest’s unlock condition as Available. Its type list emphasizes grass, bug, normal, flying. Treat that list as a description of the region’s ecosystem, not a promise that every enemy shares one of those types or appears with equal frequency. The record also contains residents and later encounter information, so a plan based on a single type label can be too narrow.

Use an early visit to learn how you locate the guardian altar, recognize the portal and decide when to collect remaining rewards. The practical benefit of repetition is familiarity: you can spend less attention finding your way and more attention watching an unfamiliar move. Once you are comfortable, compare a different starting Pokémon without changing every other part of your setup. The Pokédex reference can clarify a species name you see in the encounter lists.

Rocky Desert opens the next step

Rocky Desert’s source condition is Complete Viridian Forest. Its main type groups are ground, rock, fighting. The description calls out scorching sand and storms, while the data includes distinct guardian groups and a sanctuary. These are reasons to inspect the region’s own record rather than assuming it is simply the forest with a different background.

For a first clear, prioritize understanding what forced a retreat or ended the attempt. Was the problem recognizing an encounter, reaching a safe position or entering it with a poorly supported move? A region-specific observation is more actionable than declaring your Pokémon unusable. Use the type interaction reference to investigate coverage, but keep the client’s actual combat rules in view rather than copying standard main-series effectiveness numbers into a damage estimate.

How Storm Coast unlocks

Storm Coast’s extracted condition is Complete the Rocky Desert. Follow that progression requirement on your account, then check the live selector. The patch archive includes a repair for players whose earlier-season Desert completion appeared to unlock the Coast but did not allow entry. That historical bug explains why an old report may disagree with current behavior; it is not a reason to assume every modern access failure has the same cause.

The Coast’s main listed types are water, electric, flying. Its sanctuary record points to Thunder Cape, with a legendary encounter listed in the explorer. A listed legendary association does not by itself establish a guaranteed capture or satisfy that Pokémon’s League challenge. For those requirements, use the legendary unlock explanation and the live challenge text. Keep map progression, encounter access and playable-roster recruitment as separate steps in your plan.

How Celestial Glacier unlocks

Celestial Glacier’s extracted condition is Complete the Storm Coast. The record describes slippery frozen lakes and cold, and its main listed types are ice, water, psychic. Read the guardian and sanctuary information before assuming an offensive choice that felt comfortable on the Coast will solve every encounter here. A familiar map can hide weaknesses that become clearer when the threats change.

For progression, record a successful clear through the game’s normal result flow before checking the next unlock. If a result is still waiting to save, a menu that has not updated is not enough evidence to diagnose a broken progression rule. When playing with friends, everyone must meet the selected destination’s requirement. Our multiplayer room guide explains why a host who has reached the Glacier cannot automatically bring every other account there.

Lavender Tower has an event context

The database contains a Lavender Tower region record, and the event data separately points to that biome for the scheduled Tower mode. Those are related pieces of data, but they are not interchangeable statements about permanent seasonal access. The current season’s region list does not include every stored biome. A written unlock condition on an excluded record should therefore be shown as source information, not advertised as a currently playable campaign destination.

Use the season and Lavender Tower event page for the source start and end times, event quests and reward descriptions. That page distinguishes the event window from the broader region catalogue. If the scheduled event has ended, a surviving description in the client does not extend it. Do not spend a long session pursuing an event-specific objective without checking that the official entry and reward interface are still available.

Volcano Island is a stored record, not an access promise

Volcano Island appears in the extracted biome catalogue, with its own types, description and unlock text. It is not included in the current season’s listed regions. The correct reading is that the client contains a record for it; we cannot infer from that alone that the normal map selector offers a playable route there. The explorer keeps it under the other-records category for that reason.

This distinction prevents a common kind of misleading map guide: copying a complete data array and presenting it as a completed walkthrough. If a future update changes the season list or opens a new mode, a fresh snapshot can change the availability label. Until then, use the live game to confirm access and avoid interpreting a missing button as proof that your account has failed a hidden requirement.

Guardians, bosses and sanctuary associations

Where the client supplies grouped guardians, the explorer preserves their grouping and resolves Pokémon identifiers to names. It also shows the separate boss list rather than silently replacing one with the other. Those fields can have different roles in the game. A data record that names an encounter does not establish its exact health, reward, spawn odds or the full sequence of mechanics.

Sanctuary associations are useful for planning which region to investigate, but the numerical combat model needs its own verified extraction. We do not manufacture a recommended damage threshold from species base stats. To choose a sensible objective, combine the source map information with your available game modes and the exact achievement you want. Our Stardust and achievement tracker helps compare recorded rewards without claiming that every listed encounter can be farmed immediately.

Make a route that matches your account

Write down the next unmet condition you can verify in the game. Clear the preceding region, confirm the result, then inspect the newly available destination. If your goal is a particular encounter, check its separate challenge and mode requirements before committing to repeated runs. This keeps a route practical: you always know what success would look like and which screen should acknowledge it.

After an update, revisit the availability labels and source version instead of relying on a remembered region count. For a team, choose the shared destination first and let individual build decisions follow. For solo learning, a familiar region can be a better testing ground than the newest unlocked one. The explorer is a compact source reference; your live account state is the missing information that turns it into an actual itinerary.

Frequently asked questions

How do I unlock Storm Coast?

The current source condition is: Complete the Rocky Desert. Confirm the prerequisite through the normal result flow, then inspect the official map selector. In co-op, every teammate must have the destination unlocked.

How do I unlock Celestial Glacier?

The current source condition is: Complete the Storm Coast. A host’s unlock does not grant access to a teammate whose progression is behind.

Are all database regions playable this season?

No such claim follows from the database. The source contains 6 biome records, while the current season lists 4. Other records and scheduled events are labeled separately.
